Laurent Touma

Laurent’s passion for dancing kicked off at a very young age. He gained a solid background in Latin and Ballroom dancing at Leaders Dance Sport Association. In April 2001 he started participating in competitions organized by the Lebanese Dance Sport Federation and won the first prize in Standard Ballroom Dancing at the Mont La Salle tournament only one year later. In 2004, Laurent’s interest shifted to Salsa and Argentinean Tango. He became a member of the first salsa team in Lebanon in 2005, managed Everdance dance studio in 2008, and was elected press official for Leaders Dance Sport Association in September 2009.

During his entire career, he attended Latin, Ballroom, Salsa and Tango congresses and workshops. He also developed his experience and participated in many video clips, shows and workshops in Lebanon, Syria Cyprus, Greece, France, Italy, Germany and Jordan. Laurent also plays keyboard and has been composing music for seven years.

He is recognized for his energy and innovation as an instructor, performer, and choreographer. What sets him apart is his strong psychological approach to teaching and his keen eye for techniques that best fit style, music, and the personality of the dancer.
